Welcome to Sports Today with Peter Jay!
Hi sports fans! My name is Peter Jay Mulroy and I'm thrilled to have you onboard for "Sports Today with Peter Jay." As a lifelong sports fan, with an undying passion for the New York Giants, Yankees, Rangers, Knicks, and Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, I enjoy nothing more than sharing my insight, analysis, and opinions concerning everything taking place around the world of sports -- particularly when it has a New York twist!
My lunacy for sports comes from my father, Pete Sr., who is pictured with me in the profile photo. Though we lost him to 9/11-related illness in June of 2019, I can still hear his voice every Saturday in the Fall while watching the Irish, and on Sunday afternoon's when the Giants are doing their thing up in East Rutherford, NJ!
Throughout the course of my broadcasting career, I've served as a PxP announcer and on-air host for the MSG family of networks across the New York Tri-State area, and I've been the lead announcer for a wide array of NCAA contests in football, basketball, lacrosse, soccer, and much more. I also have a strong passion for local high school sports, and I'm always up for promoting our student-athletes!
When I'm not on the air, you can find me spending time with my beautiful wife, Elizabeth, and our growing daughter, Mackenzie, who is turning into quite the sports nut herself! I'm also a middle-school teacher in NYC, and it's a career I would not trade for the world!
I look forward to talking with you all each week, so don't be a stranger! Chime in at any time on "Sports Today with Peter Jay" and feel free to reach out via IG by following me at @sportstodaywithpeterjay.
Talk to you soon!
